This beautiful DREIDEL – AVANT-GARDE is made of Porcelain and Brass covered by Gold.  Its Height with stand is 3.2″ (8.1 cm). Its made by Zvezdin’s Workshop. Zvezdin’s Workshop was made by Russian-Israeli ceramist and artist Alexander Zvezdin in Jerusalem in 1998. It makes unique Jewish porcelain products including dreidels, mezuzah cases, candlesticks, kiddush cups, chanukiah, dishes, tzedaka boxes and pendants. Each item is made of high-quality porcelain mass produced in France. Then, it is dried and burnt twice at 900С and 1300С. Before the burning process , each product is covered with a transparent ceramic glaze (glass-like coating). After that, the porcelain product is painted. The porcelain is painted with special ceramic dyes containing salts and gold. During the painting, when a specific type of dye is applied, the workpiece is burnt at 800С. During the process of burning, the dye is baked into the porcelain surface, it is fixed on the product forever. To get a final picture, each workpiece is burnt 3 to 6 times, depending on the picture complexity. This dreidel is a masterpiece of the Zvezdin’s Workshop and is made with great care and efforts.
