An extraordinary endeavor into the lives of Palestine Israeli children by Justine Shapiro.

Promises 2004 is a follow-up program called Promises: Four Years On, which features interviews and updates on the children’s current lives. Its 25 minutes long and is included as a special feature on the film’s DVD release. Promises is basically a documentary movie that is based on the Palestinian Israeli. conflict. It shows the perspectives of the seven children living in the Palestinian communities and Israeli neighborhoods. It shows the Israeli American film maker  B.Z. Goldberg who meets seven Palestinian and Israeli children between the ages of nine and thirteen. He has portrayed the Middle East conflict through the eyes of these children.

About the Director:

Justine Shapiro is an Oscar nominated, Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker and on-camera television host. For 10 years she hosted the long running TV travel series “GlobeTrekker” (also known as “Lonely Planet”) traveling to over 40 countries around the world. Justine’s documentary film “Promises” which features seven Palestinian and Israeli children has screened internationally and continues to be the most popular media resource in classrooms exploring the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
