This book is a first attempt by an Israeli author, Yossi Klein Halevi. In Letters to my Palestinian Neighbor, he addresses his Palestinian neighbors and explains how the conflict appears through Israeli eyes. It is a strong attempt to cross the Wall that separates the Israelis and Palestinians and goes into the hearts of the opponents. Yossi Klein Halevi explains in a series of letters, the cause that persuaded him to leave his native New York in his twenties and move to Israel to take part in the re-establishment of the Jewish homeland , as he was bound to participate in the success of the Jewish land as a morally responsible and democratic state in the Middle East. Halevi’s letters address to the Palestinian neighbors as well as the global citizens to help them understand the painful choices they have to make.
